With a special spotlight on her cinematographic Œuvre there is a retrospective on Sarah Moon´s whole work in the House of Photography Hamburg in Germany. Over 350 photographs and five films show the fairy-tale world of Sarah.

Born in 1941 the photographer was raised in England and France. Having been a model in Paris, she started taking pictures in 1968, giving herself the nom de plume Sarah Moon. Her first campaign was Cacharel, followed by countless assignments for Dior, Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Issey Miyake, Valentino etc., complimented by magazine spreads.

Her betimes unfocused shots in back and white or in faint colours lure into the field of dreams, myths and tales. They mirror Paradise: unknown landscapes, cities full of magic. Stills and portraits a re timeless. She combines portraits, flower stills, views of country and cityscapes next to each other  − her unique style coined current Mood-photography.
