On 11 March 2011, following the worst earthquake in Japan’s history, disaster struck the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant forcing 160,000 people from their homes when the area was declared an exclusion zone. While nature has regained the upper hand, the people have relocated to emergency shelters. Photographs by Dominic Nahr for TIME.
