Autographed by Magnum photographer

01/01/2015, Signed copies of the photo book Memory City by Magnum photographer Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb are now available.

In the book, the Webbs deal with developments in the town of Rochester after Eastman Kodak went bankrupt. In the past, the town had gained international fame as the World’s Image Center; since Kodak closed down, Rochester has needed to find a new direction.

Already back in the seventies, Webb documented life in small US towns – at the time still in black and white. The development of Kodachrome colour film pleased him so much, however, that he switched to it in 1978. Nowadays he takes his colour pictures with the digital Leica M9 – his last rolls of Kodachrome colour film can now only be developed in black and white.

Between the 152 pages of the book we find a piece of photographic history. You can purchase an autographed copy for //store.magnumphotos.com/products/memory-city-alex-webb-signed[red:Magnum Photos Store$].

Part of the series can also be found in M Magazin No. 1.
