The borders along southern Libya are very porous. Refugees and contraband flood the land and corruption is the order of the day at many checkpoints. Even so, some revolutionaries try to control the border between the country and its southern neighbours – and in doing so have to confront jihadists as well as smugglers. Antonia Zennaro’s pictures show three migrants from Ghana and Nigeria who, despite the odds, have managed to reach the Libyan capital of Tripoli.
