12/28/2014, Photographers and film makers are invited to upload their press photographs and videos for the World Press Photo Contest 2015 – submissions close on 14 January. An international jury headed by Michele McNally, assistant managing editor for the New York Times, will determine the very best entries. The winners are announced on 12 February 2015. In addition, the winners of the WPP Multimedia Contest will be named on 15 March.

For the first time, the World Press Photo Contest features a Long Term Projects category. Also new is the fact that participants must now agree to disclose the unprocessed files of any images they have submitted.
