James Meakin

VitaBorn 1976 in Plymouth, UK. By the age of 17, Meakin held a pilot’s license and was headed for Manchester to study engineering. Being discovered by a modelling scout prompted his first forays into the fashion industry – initially posing in front of the camera, before deciding to focus on photography. From 2000 to 2006, he worked as an assistant for Chris Craymer, Laurie Bartley, Kevin Mackintosh and Richard Bush, among others. His editorials have been featured in publications such as Vogue (including China and Russia), Elle Germany, The Glass Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Glamour, The Times, The Telegraph, S Magazine, The Financial Times, Exit, Conde Nast Traveller, Tatler and Net à Porter magazine.
