VitaBorn to an American father and a German mother, Erika Astrid grew up in Giessen, Germany and has been in the US since January 2012. Having started out as a fashion designer with her own clothing label, she soon began taking pictures of her own collections – and it was not long before she fully dedicated herself to photography. In her work she aims to break stereotypes and expand our idea of beauty. In 2018, Astrid founded Kunst Magazine, an online platform enabling fashion photographers to showcase their personal projects.
