‘Wild Things: Masterworks of Photography’ features a wide variety of artists, from the old and canonical to the young and vibrant. Though at first glance they may appear to have little in common, after a while patterns emerge. For instance, Man Ray’s portrait of a naked lady with two f-holes superimposed onto her back so that she resembles a double bass is paired with Martin Pudenz’s version showing a woman with a keyboard – a large computer keyboard – tied to her back. Similarly, an Anton Corbijn picture of a model in a zip-up fetish top finds its more hardcore equivalent in Straulino’s image of a mysterious masked woman in a dark room. Also included are artists such as Charlotte March, Liesje Reyskens, Monika Robl and many more – amongst whom you’ll find countless more surprising echoes and juxtapositions.
