‘People,’ the legendary photographer Helmut Newton once recalled of his glory days in the French capital, ‘gave us everything for free. We were allowed only so much film per picture, but there was no limit to the creativity. I like to say that they let us loose like wild dogs in the streets of Paris.’ Inspired by these words, and this vision, photographer Tom Hoops and Greyhours watches founder Emrah Yüceer created their open-ended photography collection ‘Wild Dogs in Paris’ in 2016. Their only brief is that there is no brief – their only desire is great pictures by passionate artists. Now, for their first exhibition together, Tom Hoops is curating a show of fifteen of these ‘Wild Dogs In Paris’ in Berlin: expect to see works by the likes of Kate Bellm, Rachelle Mendez, Ian Hughes, Piotr Zbierski, and other exciting new talents that you might not have heard of before.
