The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography From The Sir Elton John Collection

Tate Modern presents 200 very rare Vintage Prints, collected over the last 25 years, to be publicy seen for the first time: This is the opportunity to see one of the most spectacular private collections of photography from the 20s to the 50s. 'The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography From The Sir Elton John Collection' in London´s Tate Modern comprises over 70 Artists.
Elton John himself said that he replaced his alcoholism with „photographoholism“. Succesfully, obviously: Of his 8000 pieces 200 are on display at Tate Modern, in the singer´s original frames, directly from Elton´s to the museum´s walls.
Tate Modern comments it´s coup as such, and rightfully so:
"With over 70 artists and nearly 150 rare vintage prints on show from seminal figures including Brassai, Imogen Cunningham, André Kertész, Dorothea Lange, Tina Modotti, and Aleksandr Rodchenko, this is a chance to take a peek inside Elton John’s home and delight in seeing such masterpieces of photography."
