‘I’m very excited by my recent work, it feels the purest it has been since the 1990s, albeit much darker,’ says Rankin of his new exhibition ‘Naked’: ‘They are a raw realisation of my fascination with the erotic and death.’ The British photographer is renowned as one of the great photographers of nudes, from the highly intimate series he published with German supermodel Heidi Klum earlier this year, ‘Heidi Klum By Rankin’, all the way back to his classic images of Kate Moss and Helena Christensen in the 1990s. His recent work is just as beautiful, however it has more of a foreboding edge than before.

But there’s more. Prior to the opening of the show, on November 9 and 10, Rankin will be setting up a photography studio in the Kunsthuis and offering everybody a chance to book a session and have their portrait taken by him. Whether or not you turn up naked, is up to you …
