Over the last three decades, during which time he’s shot for the likes of Vogue, l’Homo and Elle, Marc de Groot has established himself as one of the Netherlands’ leading fashion photographers. His pictures are full of spontaneity, and often dripping with love and desire: in them you’ll see naked cowboys, girls on horseback, sultry, smoking women and passionately kissing men. De Groot has also shot numerous revealing, lively portraits of stars from the world of entertainment, and these provide the focus of his solo show ‘Faces From the Glossies’ in his hometown of Amsterdam.
