Photography has never before been as personal it is today. Our selfies are our mirrors, and also how we like to express ourselves. The pictures we take of our loved ones and the places that we go are like diaries of our lives. We communicate with our friends by sending one another pictures. So Kahmann Gallery’s exhibition ‘It’s Personal’ is a great way to start the New Year. All of the gallery’s artists are included in the show, and furthermore every member of staff was involved in the process of selecting the other artists invited to participate. Not only do visitors to the space get to see a huge variety of photographers’ personal expressions of beauty; they also get to see behind the scenes into the personal tastes of everybody who works there.
