To coincide with its catwalk show at London Fashion Week, Burberry is also staging a large group exhibition of social and documentary photography spread across fourteen rooms and three floors of the 18th-century Grade II listed building Old Sessions House. “Here We Are” is curated by Burberry president Christopher Bailey, British fashion photographer Alasdair McLellan and Claire de Rouen books director Lucy Kumara Moore, who explains, “I have long been enchanted by British ‘social portraiture’ – photography that reveals the ways in which we live, work, dream, celebrate and challenge – both individually and collectively.” Alongside vintage prints by quintessentially British photographers including Dafydd Jones, Martin Parr and Ken Russell, a brand new project by McLellan will also be on display.
