Every year since 2007, Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam has organised an international callout to find emerging photographic talents, the best of which are published in Foam Magazine’s ‘Talent Issue’ and showcased in a touring exhibition – which now arrives in Brooklyn’s Red Hook Labs. This latest edition features 20 emerging talents from 14 different countries, all of whom use photography in striking, innovative and unexpected ways. Particular highlights to look out for this year include Polish artist Weronika Gęsicka’s warped collages of vintage pictures of 1950s Americana and Guinean-Swiss photographer and art director Namsa Leuba’s radiantly colourful studio portraits.
