Fashion Film Festival Milano, founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, for its third edition, continues to give voice to fashion through the fashion films, which represent the most contemporary among languages. The mix of cinema, visual art and fashion, has once again produced inspiring works representing a breakthrough in aesthetics and media.
Fashion Film Festival Milano 2016 will be held at the Anteo spazioCinema from 24th to 26th September, a perfect venue dedicated to the Screenings and Conversations with leading personalities from the Fashion, Cinema, Art and Digital world. The Festival’s artistic committee directed by our curator Gloria Maria Cappelletti selected the 160 fashion films of the Official Selection among 750 submissions from more than 50 countries. We believe that the avant-garde cannot disregard young talents and their innovative force; for this reason submissions and admissions to FFFMilano are completely free, allowing everybody to participate in the competition and attend the screenings. The Fashion Films from all over the world are presented and shown as testimony of the personality and talent of their authors, both new or established.
FFFMilano third edition renews its important collaboration with Mercedes-Benz as Main Sponsor assigning the “Mercedes-Benz Special Award”. This important award will enhance innovation and technology used within a fashion film.
As part of the Festival’s aim to give the city of Milan an open, heterogeneous and cultural event, the members of this year’s jury come from different worlds open to exchange ideas and points of view. The international jury is composed by Claudia Llosa, winner of the Golden Bear at Berlinale and Oscar nominated; Andrea Lissoni, Senior Curator, International Art (Film) at Tate Modern in London; Miroslava Duma, founder of the digital platform Buro24/7; Olivier Zahm, photographer, director and founder of Purple Magazine; Emanuela Martini, director of Torino Film Festival and film critic; Michelangelo Di Battista, internationally renowned fashion photographer; Enrico Dorizza, Chairman & CCO of J Walter Thompson Milano; Franca Sozzani, Editor of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue.
