Over the course of his glittering career, English society photographer Cecil Beaton CBE (1904–80) met, and often took pictures of, some of the most famous, near-mythical figures of the 20th century, from the rising American stars of Hollywood, to British Royals like the Duke and Duchess of Windsor; whose official wedding photographs Beaton took in the summer of 1937. Now 116 of his most notable portraits have been selected for display at Fundación Canal in Madrid. Visit this show and you’ll come face to face with a cast of characters that created the modern world: from artists like Salvador Dalí, to philosophers like Jean Paul Sartre, to fashion designers like Cristobal Balenciaga and icons like Audrey Hepburn.
