OUKAN, Berlin Mitte, presents - coinciding with 67th Berlinale - a new solo exhibition of photographer Anatol Kotte. Titled Actors he, a Hamburger by choice, shows 18 of his famed-famous Actors, mostly shot  in B/W.

For now 20 years Anatol Kotte is foremost under commercial photographers. He got his start in 1981 as an assistant before becoming freelance in 1988. Soon he developed a taste for portrayal and perfected the art form. His Clients include stern, ZEIT, Tempo, brigitte, ZEITmagazin und Wiener, and numerous agency and industrial commissions.
His oeuvre is a Who ́s Who of national and international stars of the screen: Jeff Goldblum, Ewan McGregor and Geraldine Chaplin and germans like Til Schweiger, Natalia Wörner, Moritz Bleibtreu and Matthias Schweighöfer.
Kotte explains: „I’m using all sorts of cameras and film from 8/10 inch negatives to 35mm digital and in between. In addition to orthochromatic film and polaroid. I generate classic black white negatives from digital files and enlarge them on old-fashioned papers. It all depends on the look I want to accomplish.“
